    CONCACAF World Cup Qualification - Semi-Final Round

    Twelve Teams qualified for CONCACAF semi-final action. The United States, Canada, Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, and El Salvador received byes until the Semi-final rounds. The other six entries into this round came from the winners of the preliminary rounds.

    The twelve teams were divided by a draw into three groups of four. The top two teams in each group advance the final round of qualification, as decided by a double round-robin, home-and-home format.

    • Group One
      United States, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago

    • Group Two
      Canada, El Salvador, Panama, Cuba

    • Group Three
      Jamaica, Mexico, St. Vincent, Honduras
