    Oceana Football Confederation - Final Round

    The final round of qualification in the Oceana Football Confederation involved each of the two group winners from the Semi-Final round in a home-and-home series.

    The winner of the Oceana qualification series played the fourth place nation of the Asian Football Confederation in a home-and-home series for the Oceana/AFC shared World Cup France '98 qualification berth.
